total party kill

I'm nobody - read my comic.

This is a comic about old school RPGs. Objectively the best kind.

I tell my nephews never listen to anyone attempting to tell you how to have fun or to convince you you're not having fun. I tell you the same thing as I ask you to read this comic filled with jokes and opinions on what is ultimately all in fun.

Sitting around the table Friday night, which Friday doesn't matter the ones round the table are always good, I was listening to one of my long time friends make an impassioned speech about the unreasonableness of fall damage.

"I've fallen from greater heights from a tree as a child. It is actually ridiculous that there's any chance at all this takes a quarter of my health. That reality does not exist."

In that moment I was happy. I eased back in my chair and looked at my other friend - the one DM'ing. This rant had been ongoing a couple of minutes now, and our DM had a tired expression. I was smiling. I of course felt bad for my DM'ing friend who just wanted us to move along to the next room he'd carefully crafted, but listening to grown men debate how best to reasonably depict fall damage with polyhedral dice is no bad way to spend ones time. Invoking physics, anecdotes, and Aristotle over something that didn't even happen but only *could* have and even then only in the theater of the mind; it was and is a thing of beauty to me. I could have listened all night.

It is in the spirit of that, often winnerless, for-the-sake-of-it debate and fun this comic is written. If the opinions proffered aren't your style: I have no interest in telling you how to have fun or altering your perception of the fun you are having, only mocking you for it for my amusement while congratulating myself on my awesomeness. Fairly standard internet behavior.

And I am not averse to criticism. If you disagree feel free to write me. If it is more than a few drool stains on the page, written in discernable English and not a mixture of backwards letters and rudimentary symbols, AND has some validity (unlikely) or makes me chortle (likely) I may even publish your letter for all to enjoy and ponder.
